Buttermilk Biscuits Recipe


(makes 16 biscuits)
2 C. brown flour
2 C. white flour
7 t. baking powder
2 t. sea salt
       Combine dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
1 stick of butter- soft
        Cut in butter with a fork until it resembles coarse crumbs.
2 C. whole cultured buttermilk
        Stir in buttermilk.  Shape into a large dough ball. Cut in half. Cut each half into 8ths and shape into balls. Place balls onto 2  greased baking sheets. Press balls down so they are flat, not round on top. Bake on 375 for 10 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Be careful not to over bake! Serve while hot or allow to cool completely and freeze for later use.
Makes a quick and yummy breakfast!
