Soaking Grains Recipe Series Part 3: Biscuits


2 C. Brown Flour
2 C. White Flour
1 Stick of Soft Butter
Combine flour in a large mixing bowl. Cut in butter to resemble coarse crumbs.
2 C. Buttermilk (whole cultured)
Add to dry. Stir/knead until you have one solid dough ball. Cover loosely and keep in a warm place for 12-24 hours.

Soaking.
2 t. Salt (make sure it is fine grain or it won’t dissolve enough)
7 t. Baking Powder
Sprinkle these over your dough ball and knead in until well mixed. Now divide into 16 equal as you can parts. Roll each one into a ball, place on buttered pans, push balls down until flat with the palm of your hand. 

Divide into equal portions.


On the buttered pan.
Bake in a preheated oven on 375 for approximately 10 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
